Ugandans Abroad Launches Uganda’s List
By Rebecca Harshbarger–
I always have been searching for ways to support Ugandans Abroad, which provides the diaspora with information and community resources. Â I decided to create Uganda’s List, which has fourteen categories of classifieds. Â This is an international site– the ads can be used anywhere, whether you are in Moscow, Kampala, London, or Boston.
Most of the categories are free (community announcements, dating, fundraising appeals), but some have a low price (real estate and rental ads) that is much cheaper than what you would find elsewhere. Â Unfortunately, you do need to sign up for Pay Pal to post an ad on a paid category for Uganda’s List– but signing up for Pay Pal is relatively painless, and you can use it all over the Internet for any type of secure online shopping. Â If you prefer not to use Pay Pal, you can write me a check (the maximum category price is $5– the others are $1-2). Â Just contact me at rebecca.jane.harshbarger@gmail.com for my address.
I hope you enjoy using Uganda’s List as much as I liked creating it.  Right now the only categories that show up are for existing classified ads (there are two ads up now, so you’ll only see two classified categories on the homepage), but you can create up to fourteen types of classified ads.
Please share this with your friends through e-mail and facebook below. Â Together, we can make Ugandans Abroad sustainable in the long-run. Â I hope this site is useful for you in finding jobs, posting your resume, dating, finding apartments and real estate, selling and buying vehicles, and much more. Â And of course, this site is brand new– please give me your comments and suggestions below. Â I’d love to hear them. Â These sites are there for you!
