Al-Shabab Claims Responsibility for Bombings

The Somali militant group Al-Shabab claimed responsibility on Monday for the Kampala bombings that killed more than 70 World Cup revelers late Sunday night.

“We are sending a message to every country who is willing to send troops to Somalia that they will face attacks on their territory,” the New York Times quoted Shabab spokesman Ali Mohamoud Rage as saying. “Burundi will face similar attacks soon, if they don’t withdraw.”
