Free African Cultural Alliance of North America Festival: Saturday, Philadelphia
This Saturday, Ugandans Abroad will be at a unique African festival in Philadelphia– and we think you should come too.
The African Cultural Alliance of North America is holding a free festival on August 7th, from 2 to 8 pm, at the Great Plaza at Penn’s, which is located at the Landing Columbus Boulevard at Chestnut Street in Philadelphia. Click here for more details.
The artists performing include:

-Les Boucantiers Royal
-Diblo Dibala
-Princess Fatu Gayfroy
-Kanvee
-Moses Swaray
There will also be different forms of African dance, as well as Liberian arts, including Liberian theater and dance.
During the same festival, our sisters in the Liberian diaspora group Friskies will hold their second annual Friskies Fest, which includes an award ceremony honoring Liberian women at an “Evening of Glamour.” Click here for more details.
