Nnabagereka Sylvia Nagginda canceled her keynote address at the UNAA Convention this weekend, disappointing the diaspora.Ugandans in the diaspora were disappointed this weekend when the Uganda North American Association announced that Nnabagereka of the Buganda kingdom, Sylvia Naginda, would not attend this year’s convention due to security threats.  The nnabagereka had planned to give the keynote address at the 26th UNAA Convention

Nagginda planned to lead a delegation from the Uganda Cancer Research Foundation to the convention and host a forum on its work.

UNAA’s president Moses Wilson cited “security reasons beyond our control,” and hotel guests reported being told of a bomb threat against the queen.

However, the hotel’s security told Ugandans Abroad that there were no threats or bomb scares made this weekend.
